Practitioner Clinic · Capped at 250

COMPLY India 2027

The BRSR Assurance & Carbon Compliance Clinic

You will not sit and listen for two days. You will bring your own data and leave with your gaps written down.

India’s only working clinic for the 500 listed companies entering BRSR Core assessment for the first time, and the obligated entities running their first full CCTS compliance year.

Date 8–9 June 2027
Venue BKC, Mumbai
Format In-person · Hybrid access
Clinic tier Capped at 80

Places released in three waves. Wave 1 closes 31 January 2027 or when 80 Clinic places are gone, whichever is first.

Why This One Is Different

Most ESG conferences send you home with a tote bag. This one sends you home with a findings list.

Three days before you arrive, you send us your numbers. Two days later you walk out with a written assessment of what your assessor will ask, what evidence you cannot produce, and what to fix first.

📝

1 · A mock assessment against your own data

Clinic delegates submit their nine BRSR Core attributes under NDA three weeks in advance. On Day 2 you receive a written mock management letter: findings, evidence gaps, and the specific questions your assessment provider will raise. Prepared by an AA1000 licensed assurance provider.

🎯

2 · Built for the 501–1,000 cohort

The companies genuinely new to BRSR Core assessment in FY 2026-27 are ranks 501 to 1,000 — small sustainability teams, first-time engagements, no in-house GHG capability, no Big-4 retainer. Everything here is pitched at that reality, not at Nifty-50 chief sustainability officers who solved this three years ago.

🎓

3 · An assessed credential, not a certificate of attendance

Complete the post-event assessment within 30 days and you hold BRSR Core Practitioner (Assessed) — issued by RSustain Academy, with CPD hours. Something you can put on a CV and defend in an appraisal, not a PDF that says you were in the room.

What You Take Home

The dossier

Every Practitioner and Clinic delegate leaves with a completed, company-specific pack. Not templates — your numbers, worked during the labs.

Scored BRSR Core readiness report

120-question assessment, completed live, with your band and ranked gaps.

Evidence-gap register

Mapped to all nine BRSR Core attributes, showing which numbers you can currently substantiate and which you cannot.

GHG inventory skeleton

Scope 1 and 2 boundary diagram, organisational boundary decisions documented, export-ready to your BRSR.

GEI baseline worksheet

Your facility’s emission intensity against your notified sub-sector target, with the shortfall or surplus quantified (obligated entities).

CBAM exposure estimate

Embedded emissions and indicative certificate cost for your EU-bound goods (exporters).

Twelve-month compliance calendar

Every date from today to your filing, personalised to your cohort and sectors.

Clinic tier only: written mock management letter

Plus two 45-minute office-hours calls with the RSustain assessment team in the quarter after the event. The problems you find in June are the problems you are still solving in September.

The Compliance Landscape

Where the rules actually stand

Every figure on this page is dated. We update it when the regulator moves, and we tell you when we last checked.

BRSR Core — Top 1,000

SEBI’s glide path brings the top 1,000 listed entities by market capitalisation into BRSR Core third-party assessment or assurance from FY 2026-27, the year that began on 1 April 2026. The March 2025 circular substituted “assessment or assurance” for the earlier “reasonable assurance” language and eased the value-chain requirement — a relaxation that moved the difficulty rather than removing it. The nine Core attributes still have to survive an evidence file.

CCTS — the first full compliance year

Seven energy-intensive sectors transitioned from PAT into CCTS compliance from FY 2025-26, with GHG emission intensity targets notified at sub-sector level across nine sectors as of March 2026. The Indian Carbon Market Portal launched in March 2026, and CERC notified the terms for purchase and sale of Carbon Credit Certificates the same month. Shortfalls attract a statutory penalty referenced to the prevailing CCC market price.

CBAM — the definitive period is running

The EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism moved from transitional reporting into financial obligation from 1 January 2026, with default values being phased out. Indian exporters in covered goods now need actual embedded-emissions data whether or not they are CCTS-obligated.

Why June 2027 is the right month to work on this

Your FY 2026-27 audited results are signed. Your BRSR Core assessment fieldwork is live or about to start. Your annual report is being drafted. AGM season has not begun. Your first CCTS compliance cycle has run once and you can see what broke. This is the four-week window in the year when the problems are visible and there is still time to fix them.

Regulatory position last verified: [PUBLISH DATE]. Verify current obligations against SEBI circulars, BEE procedures and your exchange before acting.

Agenda

Two days. Three role-based streams. Every session produces something.

We do not run topic tracks. We run streams for the three people who actually carry this work, because a company secretary and a plant energy manager need different rooms.

Stream A — The Reporting Desk
Stream B — The Plant Floor
Stream C — The Board Table

Stream A: Company secretaries, ESG reporting, investor relations  ·  Stream B: Energy managers, EHS, plant heads, export compliance  ·  Stream C: CFOs, audit committee members, legal, heads of sustainability

Who This Is For

It is for you if:

  • Your company enters BRSR Core assessment for the first time in FY 2026-27, and you are the person who has to make it happen
  • You have a notified GEI target and you have now been through one compliance cycle and found it harder than expected
  • You export covered goods to the EU and you are still using default values
  • You sit on an audit committee and you are being asked to take responsibility for numbers you did not produce
  • You are an assurance provider, consultant or lawyer who needs to see where the market’s actual failure points are

It is not for you if:

  • You want a keynote-and-canapés day. There are several excellent ones; we have listed them in our events digest.
  • You want to be told sustainability is a strategic opportunity. You already know.
  • You cannot bring any company data, not even in rough form. You will get less than half the value.

Practical

Venue

Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. The hotel will be confirmed and published by 31 October 2026, with a delegate room block opened at the same time. Mumbai is where SEBI, BSE and NSE sit, and where most of the 501–1,000 cohort’s compliance teams are based.

Getting here in June

Early June is ahead of typical monsoon onset, and we have deliberately avoided July. The venue will have covered vehicle access and be within reach of the Metro. If severe weather makes the in-person event unworkable, it runs in full hybrid and every Clinic output is still delivered on schedule — the mock management letters do not depend on the room.

Refunds and transfers

Full refund on cancellation up to 30 April 2027. Fifty per cent to 20 May 2027. Name transfers free of charge at any time up to 24 hours before, including between organisations. If we cancel or postpone, you choose a full refund or a transfer to the next edition.

GST and invoicing

Provide your GSTIN at registration and a compliant tax invoice is issued within 24 hours. Purchase-order and NEFT payment supported for corporate registrations — email events@rsustain.com.

Independence

A statement we would rather make upfront

RSustain is an AA1000 licensed assurance provider and also sells advisory services and compliance software. That creates a conflict we manage explicitly rather than ignore:

  • Participating in this clinic does not create an assurance or assessment engagement, and nothing issued here is an assurance opinion.
  • Data submitted for the mock assessment is held under NDA, used only for your mock management letter, and destroyed 90 days after the event unless you ask us to retain it.
  • If your company later intends to appoint RSustain as its BRSR Core assessment or assurance provider, tell us before you submit data. We will assess independence under SEBI’s provider-independence requirements first. In some cases we will decline the clinic engagement so that we can act as your assessor, or decline the assessor role so that you can use the clinic. You should not have to choose blind.
  • We do not run awards at this event, and sponsorship buys visibility only. It buys no speaking slot, no agenda influence, and no delegate data.

Sponsorship

Two hundred and fifty compliance decision-makers, and a rule about what money buys. Sponsorship supports the clinic and gives you visibility with a highly qualified, self-selected audience. It does not buy a platform.

Supporter
₹1,50,000

Logo on materials and site. Two Practitioner Passes. Exhibition table.

Partner
₹3,50,000

Everything above. Five passes. Branded lab room. Dinner attendance for two.

Principal

Everything above. Eight passes. Named alongside the clinic. One 20-minute practitioner session, subject to editorial review — content only, no pitch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to submit data?

Only Clinic delegates submit in advance. Practitioner delegates work on their own figures during the labs and can bring them in any form — a spreadsheet, a printout, or a rough estimate. Bring something. Delegates who bring nothing tell us afterwards that they got about half the value.

What if my numbers are a mess?

That is the normal starting point for a first-time cohort, and it is the reason to come. The labs are designed for incomplete data. Nobody sees your figures except you and, for Clinic delegates, the assessment team under NDA.

Is the credential recognised?

BRSR Core Practitioner (Assessed) is issued by RSustain Academy against a written assessment, with CPD hours stated. We are pursuing recognition with the relevant professional institutes and will publish the outcome — confirmed or not — on this page by February 2027.

Can I attend one day?

No. Day 2 works on Day 1’s outputs. A single-day pass would sell you a broken product.

Is there a discount for public sector, academia or NGOs?

Yes — 50% on the Practitioner Pass, twenty places. Email events@rsustain.com.

How is this different from the free government conferences?

It is not competing with them. Prakriti, WSDS and the institute conferences are where policy gets set and signalled, and you should attend them. This is where you find out whether your own filing will survive contact with an assessor. Different job.

One thousand companies. One assessment cycle. Roughly ten months.

If your company entered the BRSR Core cohort this year, the questions your assessor will ask already have answers — you just have not been asked them yet. Two days in June is a cheap way to find out which ones you cannot answer.
